small business withholding tips and not paying me for mandatory meetings

Location: Oklahoma
So i work at a small business and there are 2 stores that the owner oversees. Our credit card tips are pooled between both stores and given out as a quarterly “bonus”. We also recently had a meeting where someone’s hours were threatened if they didn’t show up. We weren’t clocked in for that meeting and when asked about it later she said she typically didn’t pay people for meetings, just provided food. I’m unsure what I can do in regards to trying to change this, whether I sue or report her to my state board, I don’t want to lose my job but it’s also not fair what’s happening. If I do want to sue her what are the best ways to go about it?

You can file a wage claim with the Oklahoma Department of Labor.

Document everything. Keep records of all tips earned, hours worked, pay stubs, and any communication with your employer about tips, wages, and non-paid meetings. File a complaint with the Oklahoma Department of Labor, the contact info is all online. You can also escalate the claim to the federal DOL, that number is 1‑866‑4US‑WAGE.
