I quit and it has been 4,5 years now. I quit tobacco and weed at the same time. I had bad withdrawals the first 2 months, but in my mind I was calm and eventually it all went away.

In the past, I would only quit for a few months at a time. I didn’t even consider it “quitting.” I just told myself, I’m not addicted, I can stop whenever I want. But after finishing a pack, I would always end up picking it back up a few months later. It was a cycle since I was 21 up until 30.

I officially quit on October 19th, 2022, shortly after meeting my now husband. I quit cold turkey, and Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Smoking really helped me. I no longer crave cigarettes, and I don’t miss smoking at all.
