Someone said college is wasted on the young.
But there is still time even when things don’t work out
For sure. I definitely would have picked a different college for instance if I could do it all over. Not that I had a bad experience. More that I could probably got one that was less expensive and more focused on what I want to do with life.
Men make sperm batches every 40-47 days so they are hormonally unstable for many decades
We expect 17-year-olds to pick a career path, but not to rent a car—because apparently choosing your entire future is easier than driving a Honda Civic.
Isn’t it great that we get to make life-altering decisions when our brains are still buffering? It’s like trying to download a new app on dial-up—exciting but mostly just frustrating!
And nobody is at the same stage either; some have barely started developing, others are half done or sometimes even more
it’s actually insane when you think about it — like “hey 17-year-old with zero life experience, pick a career, a debt load, and the general direction of your entire life… good luck!”
Ah yes, let’s hand the wheel to the drunk toddler inside our brain and say, you pick the college, career, and who we marry
Okay but I wouldn’t feel better equipped to decide what to do with my life if I had to decide now instead. I may have more life experience but I’m tired.
That’s what they call freedom. As a clueless 17yo I’ve to say, that less freedom would take more stress off my shoulders, lol
I see college a lot here. No one is forced to go to college at 18. I went when I was 25.
But if everyone’s doing this, it makes no difference.
