If you’re often online, then you likely get spoilers for things that you end up watching/playing/reading and then the experience becomes lesser. Many of us have become numb to spoilers because of the internet.
Remember when you experienced a story that blew you away? You know that feeling where you pause whatever you’re doing because a scene just hit you like a truck? Why should that be taken away from people just because they didn’t catch everything right when it first premiered?
Obviously they should stay away from the internet during the release of a big box office movie or something, but what about things from before they were born? I think we should make an effort to at least always include a Spoiler label. That’s not difficult.

Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father
Agreed. I’m watching through an older show for the first time, and I have to actively work to avoid spoilers
If it came out years ago, putting a spoiler warning is ridiculous as fuck. Do you expect people to just do that forever
I agree but I think some people are just wired differently. Like I’m always spoiler cautious because ifI like a movie, I want people to enjoy the experience but my dad for example is not spoiler cautious at all but he’s also doesn’t care to know any spoilers. It’s hilarious because things will just slip out
There are some plot points and twists that are so well known that it makes no sense to tread carefully around them.
There’s no reason to assume someone you’re talking to doesn’t know about Darth Vader, or the ending of the Sixth Sense.
Thats a heavy inconvenience in cases where you’re having a lengthy discussion. If you don’t want to get spoiled, warn people when they bring it up and stay away from forums discussing the media/book.
He was dead the whole time!
The 7 years rule is what should be followed
You think Rick and Ilsa are going to wind up together but they don’t. She gets on the plane with Victor.
