[Star Wars] Can I make a lightsaber (at least seem) heavier?

r/

Say I was already experienced using a staff with a weighted edge like a cundgel. Seems like a lightsaber would be the exact opposite of what I’m used to and that could really throw me off. Is there any way to give them more mass short of literally throwing my swings harder? How do lightwhip users do their fancy tricks without stuff like traditional inertia?

People still use slugthrowers even though we’ve had blasters for millenia, seems like kinetic energy hasn’t become totally useless yet.
