I am an imperial stormtrooper who has recently been the victim of a rebel ambush, losing my arm (and squad) in the process. Would the Imperial Army offer any sort of treatment or retirement options beyond what is necessary to keep me alive?

There is a legends Admiral who was mostly machine due to significant injuries. We see Skywalker getting a full prothesis so I dont see why a stormtrooper couldnt get one consdiering they are not reliant on medical facilities hiding out on random frigates but can access proper hospitals. I would assume you’ll be back to active duty within a couple days.
Alternatively there are clone limbs available for transplant too.
Back to the front soldier, the Empire needs you!
In canon and legends stormtroopers are offered full cybernetic prosthetics as long as they’re in good standing with their service. In canon we also have evidence of them allowing several soldiers too injured to continue active service either transfers to non combat roles or mustering out on medical discharge with reduced pensions and non combat grade cybernetics.
First you’re going to be debriefed on the incident, giving as much detail as you can. If you were helpful, they may cover the limb replacement with something a little better than what you started out with. I think it would depend on the…nature if your survival. This is a Meritocracy after all. Did you cower or lose the limb holding your ground? Did you kill any important enemies? Anyone that mattered? Let’s say you stood tall, fought hard and lost your limb and almost life gloriously serving the empire. You get a refit and a promotion, you now have experience with rebel ambushes and that is invaluable knowledge for a new sergeant.
Cybernetics seems to be very cheap, so it’s probably cost effective to fix up even crappy stormtroopers than train a new one.
The Empire is evil and stupid, but it’s also a military and taking care of the medical needs of it’s soldiers makes sense. They arn’t gonna blow their budget helping anyone, but they will have a budget for healthcare for their troops.
I think the question you need to ask is how much does a tank of bacta cost & how much healing does it provide.
I am 100% certain that as a Stormtrooper you would get a cybernetic limb and be sent back out as soon as physical therapy was done. As an army trooper I am not as sure they would spend money on a limb for you. Even if they did it would probably be pretty cheap cybernetics compared to the Stormtrooper equipment. Most likely you would get transferred to a desk position with the cheapest cybernetic limb on the market.
I’m going to disagree with everyone here. A stormtrooper isn’t an elite warrior that’s irreplaceable. A stormtrooper isn’t an expensive piece of equipment. A stormtrooper isn’t even a naval trooper or maybe. A stormtrooper is a dumb kid from some backwards hick planet given the absolute minimum training and propaganda to ensure that they don’t shoot their officers and don’t think too hard about why they’re shooting who they’re told to shoot. And you know what’s cheaper than a bionic arm and a dip in bacta? Some other dumb kid from a different backwards hick planet given the minimum training and propaganda.
A stormtrooper is worth less than the blaster he carries. Their main operational role is as just a nameless, faceless brick in a human wall that shields more important people so that they can get to their objectives. Hell, if they even bother bringing you back after the battle, you’re already doing what better than average.
I can’t see that area where imperial doctrine would short change the population. 1, you want your military to feel entitled, or else they might rebel. 2, this technology is pretty common, so it’s not that expensive. 3 replacement of a limb is probably less than trying to replace the entire solider(especially if it’s an officer)
No doubt it wasn’t state of art unless we are talking admiral or someone who has friends in high places.
Probably get a sweet robotic arm and return to duty.
Straight to Senator Palpatine’s Surgical Reconstruction Center.
Cybernetics have been fairly widely available in the Star Wars universe at least since the Old Republic, millennia back.
A maimed stormtrooper will get a fully functional (and reasonably comfortable) replacement limb and be put back on duty at the earliest convenient time, because the battlefield experience is useful, and “The Empire takes care of our own” is good propaganda for glossing over the fifty dead stormtroopers after the skirmish.
