Starting to like a „friend“ for the stupidest reason.

r/

Im literally so embarrassed for this because I’m certain he doesn’t like me back. But last night my friends from uni invited me for a dinner. One thing to know is that I’m very very very shy and introverted and though I’ve known these people for a while, Im still quiet when I’m around them. Anyway, so when I got there, I sat at the edge of the table, there were 7 girls and I was sitting next to three of them, one of these girls asked another girl to take a picture of them with her camera, and then one of the guys kept yelling from across the table „get (me) in the picture“ and he just kept saying it over and over till they told me to get in the picture, and even after that he asked the girl that took the photo „did you include her in the picture?“.
And idk why I just thought that was the sweetest thing ever that he noticed the fact that they didn’t want to include me at first.. and yeah so I just kept thinking about it the rest of the night and even when I got home.
Yall can call me stupid😭😭

Kindness, and  thoughtfulness in someone is attractive. When you see him again give him a smile as a thank you since you describe yourself as super shy.

    It’s so sweet!

    May I suggest?

You could send a text and thank him for his kindness.

It is not stupid at all! Especially when you are so used to being overlooked as a by product of your shyness, being seen and fussed over is refreshing and a really good confidence boost. (And the greenest of flags on his part!)

I hope he likes you back girl!!
    🤞🏼

This is how people act when they care about someone else’s feelings. I would say that it’s likely that he’s experienced some amount of exclusion in his past as well, so he knows how it feels, but if not, then he’s just an empathetic guy that wants to see people happy… or maybe he just wants to see you happy.

Off the topic, but idk how you call those girl “friends” if they didn’t wanted you in the picture to begin with.

Honestly, that’s not stupid at all. It’s the little things that make someone stand out. A simple act of noticing and including someone can feel like a big deal, especially when you’re feeling invisible. It’s sweet and human, and you deserve to feel noticed. 😊

Aww, that’s actually really sweet! It’s the little things that make the biggest impact, right? You probably don’t even realize how much that one act of kindness stood out. Maybe it’s a sign that you’re being noticed in a way that feels good, even if it’s just a small gesture. Who knows where it could lead! 😊

That’s not a stupid reason! That’s a very nice thing he did and I see why you like him now. Don’t be so mean to yourself about it

I know I’m about to start my period cause this made me tear up. As someone who felt really left out by my own friends growing up, I love hearing about people who don’t just notice these things, but speak up.
