Me (29M) and my gf (26F) have been dating for 2 months. We met online and things were going great. 1 month in i ask for exclusivity and she agrees.
A few days later i spot a notification on her phone from a guy and I ask her who he is. She has a little marketing side gig that she works on and he’s one of the clients. After a few more questions she tells me that she dated him earlier this year and that its purely business now. I ask her if i can see the messages. It was business but i noticed that she still calls him a pet name. I told her that if she keeps talking to him im ending the relationship. She agrees and said she’ll cut contact at the end of the month (june) because money is involved in this situation.
I decided to give her a second chance because i really like this girl. And when we got to the end of july i asked her if shes cut contact and she said she has (i never checked her messages because i didnt want to get into a bad habit of constantly wanting to look over her messages)
A few weeks later and it still gnaws at me. I feel betrayed but I don’t know if i should feel betrayed because it was still very early in the relationship when this happened. Im also struggling to trust her even though i can tell she really likes me and that she’s eager to be with me. I guess my question is was i right to give her a second chance? Would it be best to end things now or continue the relationship and build up trust between us?
TL;DR i caught my girlfriend of 1 months texting another man for buisiness that she dated in the past and dont know of i made the right choice by giving her a second chance.

Well she cant really stop contact with the ex when theres buisness involved can she. I guess calling him petnames is uncalled for, but other than that she hasnt done anything, i wouldnt even call it a second chance its still the first chance lol. Just be happy with her, it was just a tiny thing dont bother with it even if it hurt you when it happened,

Lemme understand…. you request to look in her messages, she agrees and is business just as she said, you request her to cut the guy off anyway, she does it, then you consider leaving her anyways ….. bro she has been loyal and obedient by what you have said even tho yo made some bold requeats for being just 2 months together .
You’re giving her a “second chance”? She’s done nothing that warrants any of this language. You sound awfully controlling and insecure.
