Sorry if anyone has had any experience like this, I know people get friend zoned a lot but I need some ideas. I have these 2 guy friends that I met last year, we got on great, have a lot of things in common and it’s just easy when we all hangout as a group (with a couple other people as well). It’s been awhile now that this has been happening but I get subtle comments from one of them that implies they like me, for example, “I’ll give it another shot just for you”, “you are really amazing”, “she always has the coolest outfits”, and he’ll hug me after hangouts but no one else and he has suggested in a game night before that we include kissing somehow. I like hugs in friendships or the person I’m dating but don’t want to continue that since I think it’s obvious that he likes me.
I personally don’t think it’s necessary for me to say I’m not interested unless it moves another step forward on his end, like asking me out, suggesting we hangout just us together, or telling me that he likes me. I think it will make the friendship awkward and I do like hanging in a group with him and the others. So I think I’d rather just start with some subtle things I could stay that could help clarify that I’m not interested in him more than a friendship. Any suggestions?
