I don’t understand why taking a short nap in the middle of the workday is seen as lazy or unproductive.
Like have we all not seen the studies that show that naps can improve focus, creativity, and overall productivity. So why is it so stigmatized?
If we can normalize taking a quick break to refresh, I think workplaces would actually see more efficiency. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to take a 15 minute power nap instead of forcing themselves to push through the afternoon slump? 🙄

Let me guess, you just got caught sleeping at work?
It’s crazy how grabbing a coffee and zoning out at your desk is fine but closing your eyes for 15 minutes is “lazy.” Naps actually help you think clearer and work better makes no sense that it’s still frowned upon.
Where are all these people going to take naps at?
Worked with a guy who genuinely brought a pillow and blanket and would crawl under his desk during lunch and take a 45 minute nap most days
Since working from home I take a 20-30 mins nap almost every day.
Back when I worked in corporate I would use empty meeting rooms for naps. There was also a meditation room that was nice
I agree with this. I’m not a power napper personally but I know people that are, and if it’s fine for me to drink a cup of coffee or go out and get some air for a bit to refresh myself, it should be perfectly fine for other people to take the same amount of time to take a nap / read a book / watch something, basically whatever replenishes them with energy in the middle of the day.
Agreed We need a sleeping cot in the break room.
Waiting for the, “My ADHD won’t allow me to nap” comments from the self diagnosed
I take naps on my break sometimes. Ingot an hour break so Ill eat and then just take a little nap
I am one of those weird people that usually feel worse after napping and who can’t sleep right the night after one.
I always worked jobs where I could skip lunch or it was only 30 minutes. Then I started a job where they forced a full hour lunch break. That was essentially a 45 minute nap every day for me and I loved it.
I am barely able to eat lunch, if I remember it, how an I going to fit a nap in?
