What an awful landscape television has become. Intellectually insulting commercials, vapid actors with hardly any real talent, mind numbing visual effects that anthropomorphize animals and insects in order to sell bug spray and pharmaceuticals and other useless crap. Faux commercials stylized as social media content. The list goes on and it’s getting worse.

I stopped watching television 20 years ago. Brainwashing was too apparent back then, I can only imagine what it is now…
Right now all commercials are intellectually insulting, and audio-visually infuriating imo. It’s like … Are you trying to make me hate your product by association? Shouldn’t you be making aesthetically captivating or witty ads to get me pumped up and curious to consume?

all of this could just as easily be applied to streaming given many platforms have ads these days. netflix literally tells its writers to make the characters announce what theyre doing after thats already established because they expect audiences to watch with a phone in hand only half paying attention, its not just the ads, the entire production is insulting to everyone who is actually watching

tv is unwatchable now.. everything is a social justice message with no plot..
Movies and television are dying.
I do think it’s funny that ever since streaming became more and more common, cable companies and Television production for over-air TV just refused to adapt in any meaningful way and accepted their fate.
