The 10 Commandments (Texas Edition)

Location: Texas

The law that is forcing us Texas teachers to post the 10 Commandments, starting this school year, states the following requirements:

“(1) include only the text of the Ten Commandments as provided by Subsection (c) in a size and typeface that is legible to a person with average vision from anywhere in the classroom in which the poster or framed copy is displayed; and
(2) be at least 16 inches wide and 20 inches tall.”

My question is: typeface only relates to the font style (Times New Roman, Arial, etc) and effects (bold, italics, underline). Notably, in graphic design, “typeface” DOES NOT MEAN color.

My question is: can I be maliciously compliant by displaying a 16″x24″ poster, with a legible font but us by light gray/white ink on white paper? The typeface would, technically, be legible. The color, however, would not be legible.

Thanks in advance. I tried to find other answers to this question but none addressed the malicious compliance… only “how do I not do this”

Does it state that it has to be in English?
