The cleaning company I hired for my rental property is using it for sex with multiple people.

I (M40) have 3 rental properties in my area that I have been setup as Airbnb’s for a few years now. I’ve been using the same local family owned/operated cleaning company for about 2 years now and it’s been easy going. Guests leave, I schedule the cleaning company the following day. Never any complaints, they always do a great job.

Last night, a man showed up at one of the rental properties (in a gated community), pounding on the door looking for someone while guests were there. Police were called out, and I was as well. The guy was looking for the “owner” of the house as she told him to meet her there earlier in the morning (before the guests arrived) for sex.

After we went back and forth, and the guy showed the messages from the owner of the cleaning service telling him where to meet her as well the gate code and photos. I pulled the security footage from the front and the door bell and was appalled to see her with a few different gentlemen on different days throughout the last several months when the property was not in use or when she was supposed to be there cleaning.

I checked my other properties she cleans for me and she has done the same there as well. Sometimes on the same day she would meet a guy at one property, stay for an hour, then they’d both leave and she’d make it to another property where she’d meet a new guy and stay for an hour.

I will be firing this individual as I do not want my properties to be used as part of an escort service. The question is, with all the evidence and now a police report, do I show her husband everything as well as he is co-owner of the cleaning company? Do I let other property owners who have or still use her for her cleaning services know what’s been going on so they can make the call on their end? Do I leave a review as a warning for other potential clients. Or is firing her enough?

Where would you draw the line at what is too much and what is not enough in this situation?

You did everything right so far. What else can you do? You can warn the clients and show them what you got and the police report as well. They can do what they want with that info and maybe gather enough evidence and go to police like you did.

Her husband is probably in on it. Id say let other companies know…

Go in with a Blacklight and see how clean it really is.

Rather than you taking the initiative to do anything, let the police conduct their investigation, and they will notify others as appropriate.

In my opinion, it would be best not to go around warning other people about this cleaning service. Nor is there necessarily any need for you to leave any reviews.

If I were you, I would keep a low profile, and let things unfold of their own accord.

You’ve done your part, now mind your own business and go about your affairs.

I would fire them and write a letter to both owners requesting a refund on services, as she must have had to do some additional cleaning after her services (potentially resulting in more hourly work, if you pay that way). In it I would detail that law enforcement had to be contacted, where it was discovered their cleaning business gave out addresses and door codes for your properties.

Then I’d change all of your door codes and hire a new cleaning business.

    Good. Stop hoarding properties.

I would not tell the police and or her husband. Let her know that you know and that you are not going to use umm any of her services. And that you’ll keep it a secret if she doesn’t cause any trouble or damage to your properties.

    So mutual destruction.

hell, she’s running a call girl service, and using your property. Make sure you’re getting a cut.

Police report, 100%. You need to cover your own ass from any repercussions.

As this puts the business in legal jeopardy, I would absolutely let him know…. not as a husband per se, but as a business owner. You are going to be firing them, and he is going to be curious. I would gauge whether to post about it by the husband’s action/reaction to his wife setting them up for multiple lawsuits.
