The “edit” or “coded” verbiage is so annoying

r/

I hate when an influencer is talking about a product and saying this is the “X edit” or the style is “coded.” Like “You can now get these pants in the pastel edit” or “This rug is spring coded.” The pants now come in pastel colors. The rug is perfect for spring. Stfu.

That is extremely stupid. Also, no human talks like that.

every single influencer out there is an idiot, and you’re better off in your life just ignoring them.

Don’t watch them, don’t talk about them, donn’t engage with them… eventually they’ll just fade away and no one will notice they ever existed.

    A) what happens on TikTok or other platforms is not necessarily a reflection of the general zeitgeist.

    B) language is fluid. I’ll keep it buck: you better get used to that.
