I remember when Italy had the Lira, Greece had the Drachma, and every country in Europe had their own monies. Each had their own weight, feels etc. Lira’s were SOOOO light! GBPs were sooo heavy (still around). Some coins were hexagonal!
It was super cool because they were little pieces of art that reflected the history, story, iconography and culture of each nation.
They should keep the eurozone, but bring back separate currencies.
I realize there’s a lot of reasons this will never work but it’s my unpopular view to share with you.
Edit: the coolest US currency right now is a Millard Fillmore dollar, FIGHT ME.

There is no cool US tender. It is one of the dullest sets of coins and notes in the world.
euro bad because it looks bad?
ok here’s a better idea, each country has its own, visually distinct version of the euro, that is still legal tender
the coins/bills would have to conform to a certain standard, but otherwise the countries are free to display whatever they want on there
Who cares? It’s all replaced by faceless cards and faceless people anyway.
That Euro makes controlling the Europeans easier. That was the deal that was cut with German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. If you want reunification, you’ll have to adopt the Euro and subsidize your southern neighbors.
That’s how “the Boys” operate.
The new darkened Canadian toonies are pretty sweet too
Vertical Currency is the best.
