The guy who flirted with me while trying to scam free coffee said he’d “look me up later” and I feel disgusting

I’m a barista for context ☕️ Some guy came in today trying to finesse a free coffee, and when I (respectfully) told him that wasn’t happening, he immediately started flirting.

At first it was just the usual gross stuff—“you’re so beautiful,” “you’re so pretty”—and I laughed it off to move the interaction along. But then he saw my ear piercing and said “that’s not the piercing I’m interested in… I want to know what you’re hiding.”

I froze. I tried to play it off and de-escalate, but it got worse.

He told me he’d “come back tomorrow” to find out more, said my name (from my tag), and basically ended it with “I’ll look you up later” and “can’t wait to see more of you.”

I’ve privatized everything. It’s just scary how quickly a regular customer interaction can shift into this uncomfortable, sexual pressure situation—and you can’t even tell them off, because you don’t know if they’ll escalate.

Just… ew. I’m still shaking it off.
