I love it, the dialogue, cinematography, plot, and performances are all incredible. In each of Tarintino’s movies (theyre mostly all great) there’s one section of the movie that I always pay attention to a little less than the rest of the movie. Not The Heightful Eight, im glued to the screen from start to finish. The fact that the extended edition cant be bought and is only on Netflix just bums me out.

Kill Bill watched back to back will always be number 1 for me but as a standalone movie Hateful 8 is my favourite
It’s certainly my favourite.
My thing with the hateful 8 is that I don’t remember a single thing about that movie. Like not even one plot point. It just didn’t resonate with me like reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, or Inglorious bastards. In general I think Tarantino is overrated though. He mostly just picks a group of people nobody likes and uses them as a vehicle to justify whatever violent fantasy he currently has.
This and Django (that may be an unpopular opinion)
Totally agree, I never understood why people seemed to think it wasn’t as good as his other films. It has me gripped from start to finish, and it’s easily my favorite of his movies.
Yes, i agree.
The movie enchants me right from the beginning. I feel trasported there.
I love that there is two hours of screen time shot in a single room. Yet, every single shot is full of eye candy and colors and interesting geometries. The background in every shot is detailed and visually interesting.
Also, the dialogue is great obviously.
The Heightful Eight sure was a tall order to watch.
I go with favorite rather than best where art is concerned.
