Well, I just broke up w my gf at 30 and am honestly not even going to think about it. Just going to try to focus on myself and take a long, long break from dating. It’s terrible and I’m so sorry this is happening to you. Before I got into my latest relationship I tried to make peace with the possibility of being single for life, and at first that may sound scary, but I think it’s empowering if you frame it the right way. Do you and enjoy it, good things will come with time
Please please please reach out to your friends! Believe me when I say it’s so much better having people around to soften the blow. Do a wine and movie night. Socialize with them, ugly cry your eyes out, curse him up and down, take a shot, just don’t bottle it up and close yourself off in self isolation. It helps so much to digest such a betrayal when you have people around you you can laugh and cry with.
