Having met the general public, I could believe it.
Having met my cat though I don’t think being a dumbass is an inherently human trait though So 50:50. Actual Intelligence is a hard metric to quantify, not even considering the language barrier
A US Park Ranger is alleged to have said on how difficult it is to build bear proof trash bins: “There is significant overlap between the smartest bears and the dumbest humans.”
Very unlikely. Most species of animals are insects. Even the most generous estimates on combining bugs, fish, etc, leave a very small amount of species left to be contenders. And then even amongst mammals it’s doubtful. Creatures in contention are of limited supply with a handful of birds (crows, maybe eagles), octopus and a few mammals (apes, dolphins, whales, elephants, potentially some big cats). Humans can be dumb but most of us can understand language with grammar, have a concept of maths and problem solving skills that are far superior to any donkey yet alone the millions of beetle species
The average orangutan has an IQ (70-90) higher than appx 16% of the human population. In fact that range puts them on par or above average in at least 19 nations (source)
I don’t agree. I would agree if you suggested that most humans are more idiots than any other idiot animal individual: idiocy is not something at an end of a scale of intelligence: it’s an independent thing, and the more intelligent a species the more idiotic an individual can be. You will never see a cactus doing something stupid, or a bee doing something that could be categorized as truly stupid.
Speak for yourself. They may be smarter than you and some 0-2 year olds but that’s about it. Even the smartest species like dolphins, parrots, crows and monke are pretty damn dumb. Its cool they can remember faces or use a stick to grab ants and shit but that’s their limit.

I doubt it. A lot of humans are dumb, but animals we consider really smart are like maybe as smart as children. Even dumb humans are more complex.
Yes, The Squirrel King is the smartest in all the land.

Definitely not. Like not even close
It would be funny if it were true. But it’s not. Sorry to inform you.

lmao what is this? No, obviously it’s not true
We already know that the Dolphins are smarter. They have already thanked us for all the fish. Don’t get me started about the mice…..

Okay yall hear me out though
Most animals of every species know how to eat, sleep, communicate, and at least one survival skill (hunt, run, gather, burrow, etc.)
Now take the smartest of each species and compare that with the average person

Unless you consider completely nonfunctional people, I don’t think the smarted earthworm is anywhere near as smart as the dumbest human.
