I’m in my early 20s and I look 15 at most. That’s the oldest people have assumed I am. Everyone tells me that it’s a blessing because I’ll look younger when I’m 50, but will I? I mean, skin changes, hair changes, you get wrinkles etc etc.
So those of you who had a baby face, do you still look younger now in your 40s, 50s and 60s? 🙂

Yes
It really depends on genetics, your environment, smoke or drink and over all health that determines aging.
Yes. Everyone assumes I’m 10 years younger than I am, which was a problem in my 20s and 30s. I didn’t need to shave until I was in my 30s. Nobody at work took me seriously, always assumed I was a green kid. I worked indoors hate the beach, and didn’t get a lot of UV damage. I like it NOW that I’m 60, though.
I’m 40 but people always give me 5 years less.
There no real way to tell how you will age. I was never baby faced and didn’t look very much younger than my actual age as a teen/young adult, but I also haven’t aged much now I’m in my 50s. I don’t have many wrinkles and people generally think I’m younger than I actually am.
My mum is 81 and has twice recently chatted to other women who’ve basically said ‘ooh you wait till you’re my age, then you’ll struggle with…’ when both ladies were the best part of a decade younger! He sister is 87 and facially you’d say early 70s at most.
My late grandad also had a medical appointment at hospital where they assumed he was in his late 60s when he was actually well into his 80s and they were genuinely stunned to discover the truth.
Yes. I was baby faced, short and a late developer. In my school year photo at 16yo I looked like I was in the wrong group. I was the only one of my friends who needed fake ID. At 29 I was ID’d for a lottery ticket. I’ve caught up a bit now that I’m in my 50s. Wrinkles and grey hair help .
I’m 41 and most people assume I’m early 30s and some think I’m mid/late 20s. Especially when I go clean shaven. I’ve had to show colleagues my drivers license to convince them I’m 41.
I’m 35 and people regularly assume I’m under 25. I almost always get carded when buying alcohol.
Yes, my girlfriend says I look in my mid 20’s but the speckles of grey hair give away my real age (35) 😂
Everyone from back in the day asks why I never change. Nightshift for a couple decades keeps the sun off me.
Yes
52 no one ever believes that.
People are still ballparking in the late 20’s for me. I’m turning 42 in may.
I’m 41 now and I think i’m beginning to show my age now – I’ve lost the fullness in my face and become gaunt and a bit jowly, my neck is beginning to look its age, and my hair is going grey.
Well, I don’t think I ever had a baby face. Just good genes. My mom always looked very young herself. so, I am 53 now, have a few lines but no wrinkles. I take care of my hair, skin, and my hair is still pretty thick. I’m getting more grey hair now, but I used to have a lot in my 20s, but then that stopped, and I had none for quite a number of years. At age 40, I was very beautiful and glowing and radiant because I was happily married to my sweet 2nd husband, who just helped me blossom. But that’s what love can do, and a good, happy marriage.
I got carded until well into my 30’s. My wife is 3 years younger and they never carded her.. Used to piss her off.
Yes. I look mid 30s but I’m really closing in on 50. I’ve stayed away from tobacco, lifted every day and cooked my own meals, though. That may be a factor to.
I was in the same situation at your age. I’ll be 50 in August and most people think I’m in my 30s.
I never got asked for ID in my 20s, I’m 38 and now getting asked for ID
I think the alcohol has de aged me
Yes and even 50’s. However something happened between then and 70 because I suddenly look old!!!!
I’m 64 and people don’t believe it. I have salt and pepper hair and my body feels older than 64.
Apparently I do. But my lifestyle also doesn’t necessarily fit my profile so I think people kinda factor that in without even realising.
I don’t think that’s always the case. I knew baby faced people years ago. They look their age now if not a little older. The same can be said for the opposite. I was always told when I was younger that I looked way older, these days I’m told I look younger than I am. Go figure
Yes people always think I’m a lot younger. 43 now. Early 30’s is what people tend to give me.
Jup, I am almost 43 and look maybe 35 ish
I’m 38 and people think I’m in my 20s, still get carded a fair amount.
It’s weird. When I was a teenager I could get into bars and buy in liquor stores, no problem. Now I’m sixty and people don’t believe me, they think I’m in my mid 30s to early 40s. My face just has never looked my age.
Not forty but still answering. 34 M here. Sometimes I meet people for example clerks at the register who may be around my age or maybe up to 40 years and sure the rule is to card everyone but I get a lot of I can’t tell how old you are type of deal.
I also basically have no wrinkles on my face except for 2 little spots that near the inner part of my eyebrows. There is a “line” by the eyes due to gaining some weight when I smile. My gf is also the same way..no wrinkles. To be honest I think I do look close to 30 at least but because of no wrinkles people are unsure.
Yes, nobody ever thinks I’m in my 40s, but I don’t get ID’d anymore. Probably look around mid 30s if I had to guess, maybe younger some days unless you stop and really look.
Sadly I’ve always looked a decade older than I am.
And that’s only a mild exaggeration.
Yes. If I were smart enough to attach a photo, I’d post a photo of me aged 39
Yes
Almost 40 here, to answer your question, yes
I’m turning 61 this year and I still don’t look my age according to everyone. Most think I’m in my 40’s. When I joined the Marines at 19 I looked like an 11 year old in his dad’s uniform.
Yes. I didn’t even have a wrinkle until I lost 100lbs. and my face started to sag.
I did. I was carded for smokes on my 40th and shot down since my uncle was driving and I didn’t have my license. It’s started to fade in my early 50s but people are still surprised when they learn my age. Though I never learned to adult very well so that may be in play.
I don’t know if I necessarily had a baby face growing up (no one ever told me that), but I do have good genetics and throughout my 40s I was regularly getting carded. I’m 50 now and it’s about 50/50 whether I’m carded or not. Good genes & avoiding the sun have helped me.
The last couple yrs have aged me a good deal, though, (went through some big trauma) and it’s def hard to witness the youth fade.
Yes, you will thank your genetics when you reach geriatric age. I know I do. Not only in the face but in terms of gray hair also. I’m in the midst of my 70th decade and have almost no gray hair.
Im 36, so not 40 but ive always had a baby face. Now with a beard I look my age or 40, but if I shave I get carded more often and people think I’m mid 20z
I didn’t start looking my age until I hit 70. People thought I was twenty years younger and just prematurely gray. It’s all in the genes as they say. At 72 I’m starting to get some wrinkles but I’m rocking them all.
Sort of, since I have lost nearly 100lbs in my early 40’s so my face looks much different, but my wife says I look younger due to my skin clearing up 100%, no more bags under my eyes, and my eyes are no longer bloodshot.
My babyface is gone since cheeks are no longer chubby. 🤷🏽♂️
Yes. I look over a decade younger than I am, and will continue to do so.
until I don’t.
sometime in the future, I’ll go to bed looking like a baby, and wake up looking like a shar-pei.
it happens to a lot of mixed folks.
Yep. I’m 35 and I look like I’m still in my early to mid 20s. I’ll probably look like I’m 35 when I’m in my mid to late 40s, so that’s pretty nice.
Yes, I still look about 5-10 years younger than I am.
Not totally relevant but I’m early 30s and people have thought I’m much younger all my life – baby face, chubby cheeks, rounded nose.
I started getting a frown line between my eyes last year and grey hairs have been appearing more often. Despite this people are still shocked when I reveal my age, saying they thought I was early mid 20s
I haven’t seen my face since my mid 20s, grew a beard to get rid of / cover up the baby face. The beard is pretty salt and peppered now, leaning more towards salt every year, which does not make me look young, but I’m too old to change my ways now.
Yes, my dad was like this, and while starting to go bald in his 40’s and not believing in sunscreen for most of his life has slowly caused the gap between his real and perceived age to shrink; he still looks at least a decade younger than he is. Being in great health with a boyish/playful personality could easily bring your guess back down to his mid 40’s though (he is 64)
Baby face, and super short (4’11”.) I’m 40 now. I was at a piping competition a couple of weeks ago and one of the competitors thought I was in my 20s like they were. I teach high school and still occasionally get mistaken for a student by people who are new in the building.
I still pass for 20s.
Yeah. I’m 46, my twins are 25. My bloodline is blessed with non whitening hair on top. When I shave and cleanup, which is not often, we look like triplets.
I couldn’t grow facial hair in my twenties. lol.
Yes. Moisturize. Wear sunscreen and take care of your skin, because you are going to be thankful af when you’re 40+ when everyone is freaking out thinking you’re 10+ years younger than you are.
Yes I love it!
Yep. Everyone thinks I’m in my late 30s. I’ll be 55 next month.
I’m am currently 52, and told that I look at the most mid to late 30s
I’m 42 this year and the only places I don’t get carded are ones I frequent. If I ever let the goatee fill in and then shave, it’s like I’ve traveled back in time.
I live right next to a university and at the beginning of each semester, there will be cops at the nearest gas station to nab underagers with alcohol and I always get popped.
Yes. I am 50 this year and a new person at work thought I was 35 😎 I got ID’d for alcohol when I was 30 and the woman gave me a proper suspicious look when I showed her my driving license. I’ve got smile lines but otherwise I’ve been lucky but I don’t smoke, barely drink and don’t cake myself in makeup every day and have never done. I think that’s a huge part of it.
I’m 30 and just a few weeks ago I had to go home and get my ID because the Argos clerk would not let me pick up a copy of Monster Hunter Wilds (a game rated 16+) that I had already paid for because I did not look old enough to play it. 😆 And my mum, who just turned 60 in December, looks younger than most of her colleagues in their early 40s (when her ‘happy 60th’ card was going around the office to he signed, several colleagues actually questioned the manager because they thought she had bought a card with the wrong year on it).
Assuming that you don’t smoke, drink heavily or spend A LOT of time in the sun, I imagine you will keep looking far younger than you are for a long time.
Yep. M 65 still little grey hair. People say I look younger. Score!
I had a baby face until I spent eight years in a high stress job. Cortisol will wreck your face. Avoid stress and toxic work environments!
I turn 40 in a week, but everyone thinks my sister and I are twins. And that we are in our late 20s.
You are correct that skin ages, but it happens progressively. The skin of people in their twenties generally looks different than those in their teens and thirties look different than twenties etc. So if you look a decade younger now, provided you continue to take care of your skin, you will lilely always look a decade younger. Not that your akin won’t age, it just ages like someone a decade younger.
Yup. No one believes me when I tell them my age but it’s my ‘maturity’ in how I speak that brings it out.
I’m in my mid 30s and people still tell me I look 26 which is great I guess just continue to focus on skincare eating healthy and exercise. Also not drinking as much. That ages you alot
I’ve always had a baby face but then I gained a lot of weight. When I losed it back a few years later, the baby face was gone and I did look older.
I’ve met a lot of people who indeed look younger with their baby faces.
Yep. I just turned 40 it’s month and gave had most people argue with me about it because they couldn’t believe I was anywhere near 40. I was kicked out of a bar at 33 for not having ID once.
Yup!
I’m 41. I constantly get told that I look like I’m in my mid to late 20s, lol
Yep. 57. Ripped and jacked. Full head of long dark hair. No wrinkles. Always pass for late 30s/early 40s.
Yes. I’m 45 with zero wrinkles but my grey hair gives me away. I think maybe it’s a bit of a GenX thing. I was in my mid to late 30’s when I finally stopped getting asked for I.D.
Someone thought I was 28 a couple months ago, which seems weird to me and my grey striped beard. My wife gets mistaken for her early twenties all the time. We’re both 42.
Nope. Baby face all through 20s then around 30 I suddenly caught up to my age. Also started having children then so they might have sped up the process.
Everybody thinks I’m younger then I am, I think it because I have chubby cheeks,
I’ve always had a baby face and apparently still look like I’m in my 20’s and I’m nearly 40 now and have had a child.
Don’t skimp on the lotion and stay hydrated. Avoid the sun like a vampire or use SPF.
I had a baby face that I totally lost in my 30s because I got fat. I’m getting back into shape and my face lost all the fat now in my 40s and I often get people thinking I’m at least 10 years younger. The only wrinkles I have are a bit around my eyes when I smile widely.
No, unfortunately no. I remember when i was 27, people assumed i was a sophomore in college. Things began to go South at 35.
I got told I looked 30 from like 20-30 then people started saying I look younger.
I dunno wtf is going on.
Early 40’s.. even if I don’t shave, still get carded, eyeballed.
Yes. I’m 49 and most ppl think I’m about mid to late 30s
As long as you take care of yourself then you’ll most likely keep the Babyface. I’m 41 and still look like I’m in my early 30s. I have a buddy that’s the same age as me and looks 10 years older than he is, some of it is genetics but I believe a lot of it is based on life choices and stress. Smoking drinking, drugs, and stress all seem to lead to aging poorly. I’ve never smoked or done hard drugs (smoked weed a few times here and there), I have done my fair share of drinking but I stopped that years ago, as far as stress I try to live as stress free as I can.
I’m 30 but I look very young.
My dad was the same. Looked atleast 2 decade younger till his 50. Then he just started looking normally old.
I’m expecting the same. Till 50 i might look like in late 30s, then all of a sudden i will look like 60.
It’s pretty nice. I’m 50 and it blows peoples minds when they find out how old I am. I looked about 16 when I was 21.
I looked a solid couple decades younger until I started cancer treatments. Even now, I’m told I look a decade younger. Yay, melanin! I only have two little laugh lines if I avoid being underweight. I did stop dyeing my hair and I think that’s the biggest give away to other people.
I always looked way younger and hated it…. It finally all caught up in my 50s and I HATE it!
I did until I was mid fifties. Lost some weight and look old (or maybe my age) for the first time.
Yes, I’m 50 and I still get carded.
Turned 41 yesterday i still pass for 28 26 on a good day. Unless people are just being super nice because I actually look older than 41 and don’t want to upset me…….
Yes. But you gotta wear sunscreen! Now when I go to visit my parents, who are in their late 70s, people assume I’m their granddaughter. I’m sure it will catch up with me sometime, but I’m blessed to be a redhead, so I don’t have to color my hair, either. Everything stays as it is.
So is it good or bad to look younger? I just learned to not care and take it as it is and learn to appreciate myself.
Yes.
Struggled woth this in my youth too. Had my first child young (19) but the side eye I got bc most people thought they were looking at a pregnant 13 yr old. As I got older and went back to finish college it was assumed that I was a traditional student (I was 28) I am in my 50’s and I have been mistaken for 35 ( which is actually how old my oldest daughter is) so yea it lasts.
I have a theory that people who are late bloomers, ie. puberty hits them later, are aging at a slower rate. it makes sense. I need science to prove this.
Yes I did.
