Trying to make a routine of this, but always fall in and out. What time do you guys go to sleep and wake up?
*edit, I see a lot of us are on the same schedule. Usually do in bed by 10:30, and up by 5:15, but was always sleepy. Got 7+ hours and felt great one day. So now I’ll try in bed bed 9:30, sleep by 9:45, up by 5. I think we agree it’s not best to short our sleep if we can avoid it.

In bed by 10, asleep by 11, wake at 5.
9 pm.
Then up at 5 am without an alarm clock. Swimming at the YMCA by 5:30 am.
This timing isn’t really by choice. It’s the only time my YMCA has open lap swimming.
8-9pm
Lights out between 11-12, wake up at 7ish
Bed 930. Wake 5, gym 530.
I work from home, so it makes it much more manageable.
Usually between 945 and 11. Ideally closer to 9 but it’s rare. Up at 4:45am to workout
Sleep by 10 up by 6
I workout on my lunch hour while fasting. Pretty productive use of time for me.
I’m in bed anywhere between 8 & 9 p.m. Up at 3:45 to feed dog, get my lunch together and do my walk and light weights. Leave for work at 6:30.
I go to bed at 10pm, wake up at 7:30, go to the gym at 8:30, come home and shower and get dressed, then start work at 10am
I struggle with the will to get up for work, getting up earlier to workout is not in the cards for me.
When my kid goes to bed. 8pmish.
In bed by 10pm, asleep by 10:30, up by 5:30, gym at 6
Out by 9. Up at 4am for the gym
Sleep at 10:30-11:30PM, up at 4:30-5AM
Routines are hard, I definitely find myself struggling with sleep hygiene. Aim for 7 hours of sleep so your muscles have proper time to rebuild after workouts. Regardless of your gym goals, the body does most work during sleep. 11 pm – 6 am, 12 am – 7 am, etc. Pick whichever time block works best for your schedule.
Sleep at 11, wake up at 8. Gym at 9, leave at 11. Work at 12. (All with a 30 minute give or take leeway except work)
usually got to bed around 9-930 and wake up at 6
9:30 – 4:50
Sleep between 9:30pm – 10:30pm depending on how late I get home. Usually up between 4:30am – 5:30am
In bed by 10, asleep by 10:30, up at 7am, work at 9am.. I get at least 8+ hours a night 🙂
Sleep by 9-10pm. Awake at 6-630 to workout. I workout at home now. Done and getting ready by 745-8am. At work at 9am.
I don’t know if there are any sleep experts lurking here, but I consistently hit the bed by 10:00 pm, and wake up at 6:00.
On paper this looks like 8 hours, but in reality, its 10-15 minutes to fall asleep, and then throughout the night, my sleep tracker says I wake up for a tiny bit (I typically don’t remember this). All in all, I lose about 30-40 minutes a night in total.
Any idea if this is factored into the “you need 8 hours of sleep” metric.
