The fuck up actually happened last week. For reference, I’m 6’5″ tall. While passing her in the hall at work, she made a remark about hall tall I am. As someone who honestly would like to be a little shorter, I replied “You can have a few inches.” Immediately after say that, I was thinking to myself that I hope she doesn’t take that the wrong way. I really did NOT want to hit on her. I have a girlfriend, and I would never cheat on her.
Today, the same HR lady was helping me find a new computer mouse with a cord. It wasn’t long enough, and she made the comment that “Sometimes we could all use a few more inches.” Yikes! I’m hope she realizes that I’m happily in a relationship.
Just thought it was a funny story that I wanted to share with someone.
TL;DR: I unintentionally flirted with the HR lady and she flirted back.
