This happened over the last few weeks but culminated today, I’ve always wanted to be a sailor, so quite a few weeks ago i booked a day sailing voyage for July, it’s just a few hours off the coast to learn some ropes and see if sailing is really for you, cost me £120, but then some other stuff happened about my bank account being closed and all that (it was an ID related thing), so i had to move all my money into my parents.
Today I suddenly remembered the sailing trip i booked on impulse, i never thought of travel arrangements so i asked my parents
‘Can you take me to [town] in July? I have a sail training booked, thanks’
They were like ‘take you there? Just so you can what? Drown?’ Cue all this stuff about how I’d be a Jonah or get cold feet, i showed them the website and they said ‘it says you can be lazy so i bet you’ll just be lazy, you won’t learn a thing’
To make matters worse I can’t go by taxi because I can’t afford it now that I don’t have any bank account, I’ve now got to tell them I’m unwell or something and try to get my money back but to what account?
Tl;dr i (an adult) booked sail training without telling my parents first, parents found out today and said no, can’t get money back or pay for taxi because I lost my bank account shortly after booking

Do you have any access to your money? Or did you not have enough? It sounds like your parents took your money and now won’t let you use it to get a taxi? If you are an adult that’s ridiculous, I get them being worried maybe but that isn’t an excuse to control you as an adult. Check the website to see what it says about cancellation you may be able to cancel and get a refund but, yeah, without access to the original payment method that may be difficult.
Where are you in the UK, and where are you heading? If I’m close and available, I’ll give you a lift.
Your first screw up was living with your parents. Your second screw up was being dependent upon them for transportation.
Booking a day sailing Voyage is not a screw up.
