She bought a pack of four last night and labelled it with her name on it to signal to the rest of the family “hey don’t eat this, this is mine”
In my defence I did not see the whiteboard-pen labelling when I took one from the fridge and ate it. Also I was really hungry.
Furthermore, two packets were already missing so clearly the rest of my family were also assholes
Anyways, she came back home from work and opened the fridge door and immediately stormed upstairs to me and my brothers room and shouted “WHO DID IT.”
“I only ate one.” My brother said.
“Same here.” I said
“WHEN YOU SEE MY NAME ON THE PACKAGE DONT FUCKING EAT IT!”
Then she went into her room and slammed the door loudly.
My parents came running a few seconds later trying to compromise: “we can buy you more tomorrow…” but she didn’t answer.
I feel really bad about the whole situation. First, when I ate the yoghurt she was probably craving after her long shift, and second, after I lied about only eating one, when I actually ate two.
Tl;dr I accidentally ate two of my sister’s prized yoghurt and then sort of lied to cover up my mistake

Nta .. she overreacted.. it’s not that serious
Yeah, you suck. You didn’t “sort of” lie. You did flat out lie to her face. I don’t think you actually feel bad at all.
You ‘sort of lied?’ You straight up lied about the quantity, and didn’t bother with even a cursory scan to see if it was marked? Being really hungry isn’t an excuse, either. Selfish behavior.
You owe your sister an apology, and you and your brother need to provide a replacement.
Are you 5?
Everybody makes mistakes, but you can’t “accidentally” eat something lol. Apologize, come clean, and offer to buy a replacement. And next time, look for a name on the food before you eat it. Even if you’re hungry.
Rude-ass. The both of you for eating her yogurt, and double to you for being a lying snack thief.
