I (19F) laughed when my brother (8M) told me his fish died.
He came into my room sobbing and crying saying “Mr Oreo’s dead! He died!” I laughed because only 3 days ago did we get them as a replacement to his older fish “Nico” that died a week ago. I didn’t think he was serious, but when I went and checked, Mr Oreo was floating to the top of the water tank, he had some toy in his tank so I look at my brother and through the tears he tells me “I tried giving him a bath” I tried my hardest to hold back my laugh but the reason, the outcome and the way Mr oreo looked, I’m sorry it was hilarious. He ended up crying and started punching me, I still was laughing.
Then my sister came into the room saw what happened and also started laughing then accidentally she made a joke about him being a murderer.
Yeah now we’re both getting abused by a child
TL;DR: I accidently gave my brother childhood trauma after he killed his fish

Bahahahaha!
How does one bathe a fish lmfaooo
his living creature died and you laughed at him… have some respect for your brother
I wouldn’t call this a F up it’s more the way the situation looks just makes it funny
Still sorry for your brothers loss though losing a pet sucks but it’s a fish there not exactly a long term pet
Hope that kid doesn’t process this as a ok response to people crying.
So his living creature dies. You laugh.
Back to back fish deaths within a week means you know nothing about keeping fish and shouldn’t own them without learning the basics. Do not let your brother replace it with another living animal.
Terrible human beings being terrible to other live creatures. A tale as old as time.
Maybe take this time to teach yourself and your brother about proper care for your animals so you don’t have to go through another unnecessary animal death.
Ngl that’s kinda fucked up bro
You are 19, and this is the type of reaction you have to a crying child? That… yikes.
That was mean and I’m not sure why you’d even admit this publicly. Poor kid.
That’s not funny, and you don’t sound like a great person.
I feel bad for your brother and the fish.
Self control can be hard when you’re still a child can’t it?
Fuck’s sake, he’s 8.
