Doc called with test results today… positive for HSV1, not surprised after everything I’ve learned since Saturday.
Today is my birthday and I came up with a little jingle!
🎶 Happy birthday to me, I have HSV, my boyfriend didn’t believe he could give it to mee-eee, happy birthday to me! 🎶
BF finally shifted from HSV1 is oral only and HSV2 is genial and since he’s HSV1, I couldn’t have gotten it on my genitals from him to type 1 is typically transferred from kissing type 2 most commonly through sex. He’s not wrong there. I told him I’m not blaming him and he apologized if it did come from him.
Onward to some new lifestyle habits!

TL;DR: positive test results for HSV1 came on my birthday. Really is the gift that keeps on giving! 😅
