I don’t know when it happened, but today I sat down to look at my room and realized something serious. It doesn’t matter if you’re a minimalist or a “I might use this someday” hoarder… we all have something in our room that got out of hand.
What’s that pointlessly dominating your room?
- Clothes (folded, thrown away, or half-dead on a chair)
- There are at least three pairs of shoes I haven’t worn since before the pandemic
- I have perfumes I don’t wear but refuse to give away
- Hats I collect as if I were going out in the sun (spoiler: I don’t)
- Books you don’t read but make your bookshelf look more intellectual
- Headphones/chargers/cables that no one dares to untangle
- Glasses, plates, snack wrappers (the kitchen is too far away, we get it)
- Cute decorations that just collect dust
- Memories from exes that you swear you’ll throw away since 2021
- Notes, journals, or boxes of “unresolved emotions”
- Broken things you’ll “fix” someday…
And no, it’s not an isolated case. I started asking around, and it turns out we all have something extra in our bedroom that we don’t even question. What do you accumulate without realizing it?
ATT: Personally, I have more chargers and empty bottles than self-esteem, but oh well.
TL;DR: Today I realized that my room is more of an emotional dump than a functional space. The real bummer is that I don’t plan on changing anything.

Currently going through this…
My room is a fucking mess, not at all something I like or want others seeing, but getting it into a presentable space is just sooo hard doing
ai trash
Plushies, lots and lots of Pokemon plushies
I ran out of places to keep them stashed around the house and now my room looks an armory. I did recently go through the ammo shelves though, finally got rid of a lot for calibers I don’t own anymore.
