TN Eviction

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Can someone please verify the steps of an eviction here in Davidson County, in Tennessee?

Long story short, I never received formal notice of late rent or being sent to lawyers until after the fact. ( Yes, i know it was late… it’s a long story of back and forth between me and the office at my apartments) I only receive a call on the 16th from the manager asking when I was paying , but in the same breath saying that they sent me over the the attorneys office on the 11th. Then a week later, I have a processor at my door.

Now my lease says that they do not have to issue notice, but then TN laws seem to say that they do.

I am just trying to clarify if the wording on the lease definitely trumps TN laws. ( this is just from my own research, as I am no lawyer )
