Its about a teenage girl who goes to live with her grandma in a small town who’s a hoarder. Her grandma’s number one rule is that you must never dust the windowsills as it keeps the monsters out. She meets another boy and they start realizing the town isnt what it seems. The girls grandma falls and has to go to hospital while her friend looks after the girl. One night the girl is asleep and a monster enters her room and is somehow scared away, she checks and sees that the woman dusted the windowsills. The girl and boy go to a house next to a river to talk to a man the whole town thinks is crazy about the weird things. Yada yada yada, in the end they end up in an abandoned factory where they find the three sisters and it turns out the woman who dusted the windowsill is one of the sisters in disguise. To escape they took a canoe down a river and i cant remember anything else.
Please i have been looking for an hour and cant find it.

I read it in the seventh grade so it is a kids book but its quite dark.
