Hi, please help! This book is driving me insane, and I want to share this book with one of my students. I have tried everything I know and cannot remember the title.
The book is about a young boy who travels the world alone in hopes of winning a monetary prize to help his mother. All contestants must introduce themselves by a palindrome moniker that they chose; the main character uses “Madam I’m Adam”. He has to solve puzzles to get around the world and back home first. I read the book pre-2017, so it has an earlier publication date than that and was made for middle school students. Early on, he meets a female contestant, and they help each other figure out the next destination. One of the puzzles was an anagram (I don’t remember of what). There are scenes where dogs chase him and he almost gets bitten, as well as scenes where he is take a plane or train and lies that he is going to see his dad because his parents are divorced. In the end, he wins and finds a winning lottery ticket on the table in his home that gives him his prize money.
Please, I beg of you, if you know the name of this book, tell me! I remember so many details, but I cannot remember the name, and it has been haunting me for months!

You’d think after months of working with Middle School kids, I would feel less goofy for not remembering the title of a book I read a decade ago, but alas… here we are.
I’m sure this is a stupid question, but is it Madam I’m Adam by William Irvine.
