[TOMT] looking for a movie or tv show title

When I was a kid early 2000s I remember going to the library and picking out a dvd of a series where a girl was solving mysteries, it was like a nancy drew like show/ movie where a girl has a dog and she is trying to solve mysteries at one point the dog may have puppies. one of the episodes of the series she goes back to solve something to do with someone in the military it was on dvds at the library when i was a kid. i can remember it so clearly but not at the same time. the main girl kind of reminds me of candace cameron bure when she was younger in full house. i don’t know if it was just something that was educational but i know that it was on the shelves of the library when i was maybe 6 so around 2009. it was maybe a 3 part dvd set each one came out a different year and she would get older each dvd. someone please help i’ve been looking for years!!!
