Hello! I’m hoping to get a bit of help with this movie. I saw it only once and I haven’t heard of it since.
The animation was rough 3D, I’d say to a similar quality level as Conker’s Bad Fur Day, but with very few saturated colours except for yellow pollen. The film was mostly brown, dark green and grey.
The plot was about two flies, one small and the other fat, with male voices, who are friends and sell literal bull shit. For some reason they separate and each has their own business. The small one becomes very competitive, and starts adding pollen to the cow shit to sell it as a novelty for a higher price. With that advantage, he hires more flies to gather more resources. When the pollen novelty goes off, a mother fly goes to shop from the fat fly, but the small one pulls out an offer of one for the price of two, winning the client. This angers the fat fly, and assures him that if he goes in that direction, he won’t be able to pay his employers. The small fly doesn’t care. Soon enough the fields are devastated, with no flowers, no shit and many unemployed flies. The small fly, now in his house full of golden coins, feels bad because money isn’t making him happy and goes back to his fat friend and they make amends. Happy ending.
They made us watch it at school (around 2010 – 2017) in Spain. I might be wrong, but I don’t believe it was a full, 90 minutes movie, because we saw it on a full hour of class, so it could be between 10 to 60 minutes long.
I asked a couple of the friends who were in the same class as I and only one remembered it. They specified that the small fly lived inside a grey bucket, where he had mountains of coins.
I don’t remember ever seeing it on TV. I looked for this movie both by English and Spanish search engines and I found nothing.
Any idea? It doesn’t sound very impressive, but I would love to find this crappy (hehe) movie even if it’s just to see how much I remember from it.
Thanks for reading!
