So when I was in school we had to read this book about a teenage runaway who befriends a eccentric homeless man. I don’t remember a lot of the details, I think the story took place in a small town in rural Indiana? I remember at one point in the story the homeless guy (I wanna say his name was David) cooked up what he called “Pitbull Placenta Soup” in a tin can. I remember being weirded out by this as a kid…
