[TOMT] [Text] [? – 1963] A text, possibly a poem by Sylvia Plath, about her fertility and the abortions of her husband’s lover

r/

I’m pretty sure there’s a poem, possibly written by Sylvia Plath or some other renowned writer like her, that she wrote for her husband’s mistress, who suffered several abortions. The text refers to her (the author) as “being a mother/having babies to nurse/being fertile” while “the other woman” only carries corpses.

I’m from Argentina, and I can’t find this text/poem, searching it in Spanish.

One suggestion I possibly have is to try searching for “miscarriages” instead of abortions-the words have slightly different connotations in English.

I’m not familiar with any Plath work that mentions her husband’s lover miscarrying, but she does have a poem called Parliament Hill Fields about her own miscarriage if that helps?

Plaths “A secret” mentions the possibility of aborting an illegitimate child but doesn’t quite add up otherwise
