The series title had something to do with ravens I think, also each book in the series had its own individual story with a plot twist at the end. One plot I remember was about an orphanage that was secretly full of aliens and the main character thought that he was also an alien but near the end he gets hurt and has to go to a hospital where it’s revealed he’s a human. Another plot I remember was a bunch of kids on a field trip to a museum or the mayors office, and one of the kids talk about a witch that cursed the town or something along that line. The two main kids think that the mayor is the witch and at the end the mayor locks the kids in the basement to sacrifice to the actual witch. Some of parts of my summaries might be a bit off since I mostly speed read as a kid when I read them.
