The most important thing to start with: This game’s name has something to do with the definition of a word. A word whose definition was displayed on start-up, and the theme of the game is centered around this word. I remember it being something along the lines of – the feeling of being stuck in a mundane life, as if the days are repeating or blending into each other.
The game itself was in first person. (I’m not sure if it was pixelized or not but I digress). Majority of the game would be spent in front of a computer screen, and our character spent all their time at home iirc. There was also an instance of a neighbor/passerby saying hello through the window, and the next day they’d be lying dead on the ground (but I might be misremembering). The last day, when the apocalypse happens, the sky turns red and the ‘camera’/view pans upwards towards the endless red.
Lastly I would like to list off the names of games it ISN’T (to avoid needless guessing and wasting time): One Chance, Reimagine, Exmortis, Every Day the Same Dream, A day in the office, Routine (even though Routine has similar elements, but this game I played when I was much younger, so that’s why I put such a range).

this is 1-to-1 with the game Braid, including your later mention of “pixelated graphics” and “Apocalypse”. However, NOTHING ELSE matches. 🙁
As for regarding this part:

This sounds A LOT like “The Beginner’s Guide” , although, again, NO OTHER details match… :/
If it’s any help, I do remember a veeery similar flash game, THOUGH it was a side-scroller (no, it’s not ANY of the titles you listed…). In that one, the Apocalypse always happening was actually the DEFAULT scenario at the end, and your objective was to restart each run, doing something new / unexpected / unnoticed, so that you could delay / prevent / minimize the apocalypse.
