[TOMT][Song] A song that sounded like King Of Wishful Thinking by Go West, and had the words “and I don’t care” in the chorus

It was probably in the 80s, 90s, or early 00s. I don’t remember much from the song other than the a part of the chorus sounded a lot like King Of Wishful Thinking and had the exact words “and I don’t care”. To give it a tune, here’s the chorus of King Of Wishful Thinking but I placed “and I don’t care” in the place I remember it: “I’ll get over you, I know I will, I’ll pretend my ship’s not- AND I DON’T CARE!”.

I specifically remember “and I don’t care” being a rhyme to a previous lyric. Please help, I’ve been trying to find this song for years! Please and thank you!
