Translation needed! Overheard MIL on security camera talking about my daughter — unsure what was said, but tone felt off (Spanish-English mix)

Hi everyone,
I recently overheard a conversation between my MIL and my partner. I wasn’t outside at the time, they were just picking something up — but later when I listened back, the tone of the conversation made me uncomfortable.

I don’t speak Spanish myself, but I could catch bits of English, and I think it had something to do with my daughter not calling her “abuela.” From what I could hear, it sounded like my MIL might have been complaining about it or blaming me somehow.

My partner didn’t really say much — it sounded like he just brushed it off.

I’ve had ongoing tension with her, especially around boundaries, and I haven’t encouraged a close relationship between her and my daughter for a few personal reasons. So hearing this, even without understanding everything, just didn’t sit right with me.
