Thought Udemy was for legit skills and professional growth, not teaching people how to gamble. Am I the only one who finds this weird?

It sounds like it’s meant to be teaching you about probability and markets using sports betting as an example
Udemy isn’t an academic institution. It’s a place that charges you money to take courses.
You should read up “Taylor Swift study” major
Maybe it spends the whole course teaching you that there is big data on the other side of the trade and you can’t win over the long term
what a weird thing to get your panties all bunched up about!
Idk about the specific course, but there’s actually a lot of theory behind gambling and expected value. You can study it and work at it without ever placing a bet.
Courses are created by pretty much anyone who CAN create a course. Udemy are more like a course marketplace. If X person wants to sell a course and Y person wants to buy it, it’ll be there unless it breaches Udemy’s policies. Of course there’s an argument as to whether gambling should be included in the restricted list (I think it should be restricted), but there are gambling adjacent subjects that are not gambling per se.
Probably a BS class but I remember MIT students counting cards at blackjack and making bank.
Brought to you by fan duel.
udemy will take money to get you to take classes, probably regardless of the actual content being legit or not.
Anyone can make a course, upload it and have people pay to take the course. Why would udemy limit their scope?
Down lots of downvotes.
Statistics
Hey gotta pay that gambling debt somehow!
I’d use that title as an excuse to teach a statistics course.
You can say fuck on Reddit
Udemy is a marketplace so anyone can upload a course about anything
