So, it’s a well-known fact among Lycans and Vampires alike that William was the ancestor to all Werewolves and Lycans, right? I’ve often wondered, if Lucian and his army ever came across William’s prison and freed him, how would they interact with him? Would they be able to get him to calm down?
As a matter of fact, why didn’t Lucian ever bother to go searching for William? Why didn’t he or any of the other Lycans try to free him? If I was a werewolf, and I found out that the ancestor of all werewolves was imprisoned, wouldn’t I want to go looking for him?

It wasn’t common knowledge that the corvinus family was the origin of both species. Lucian was old enough to remember how lycans used to be but he’s closer to being the progenitor of his race than William is. Every lycan that can switch transformations is directly descended from Lucian. Besides that the vampires killed everyone who was aware of William’s prison including everyone who helped construct it or was involved in capturing William. The only two living people aware of William being alive were two of the three vampire elders and only one knew the location of his prison. Had Selene not made the mistake of giving her blood to William’s brother, he likely would have remained sealed away and forgotten forever. Lucian for all his strengths and abilities couldn’t read memories in blood or known that the savage beast that turned him was still alive nearly a millennium later. If anything Lucian would kill his creator or agree to keep his location secret as he’s too strong and too feral to be allowed free
Lucian is a very rational and forward thinking person. He’s very goal-oriented. He doesn’t appreciate the wild aggression so many of his troops display and is quick to clamp down on it whenever it happens. He wouldn’t put up with William’s behavior for very long.
Even if he did learn about William, Lucian would correctly determine that his plans are better off without bringing an uncontrollably crazy werewolf into the fray.
