I got into a small argument with my bf [37 m] I [31 f] have been working 12 to 13 hour days and I just really want to get some good rest. My bf wanted to come over after work which means he would have gotten here around 1130 pm or 12an. I work again tomorrow morning at 9 am. I said no babe I would rather have you come over tomorrow because it’s so late today already. He immediately got upset and stopped talking. I said hello are you shutting down ? He responded yes I was going through all day thinking about seeing you tonight. I replied I know so did I if we got out earlier i would be okay but its almost midnight. I want to just go to bed. He got really mad at me and wouldn’t let me speak. I ended up hanging up. Am I the ahole or is there something here I’m not understanding?

Sounds like they have the emotional maturity and regulation of a teenager.
He sounds emotionally immature
Does he usually just go to your place, or do you go to his ever?
I would also say he is emotionally immature.
Why’s he acting like a child. Say no to your children people.
You aren’t wrong, he’s wrong here.. He should know that you are working for so long hours and if he wants to see you, he’s the one that should come over.. You should talk to him and tell about your situation, It’s normal and can be sorted easily
I’m not sure what’s more immature: the 31 year old woman referring to her boyfriend spending the night as a “sleepover” or the 37 year old man who has a tantrum because he can’t go to a “sleepover.”
Neither of you should be in a relationship until you have a mental age in the double digits (at least!).
This man wanted a booty call.
You dump the baby and run. Nobody should be dealing with a manhole. Manipulative behavior does not disappear it just hides. He’ll pull that pouty shit on you again.
Your instinct is right, he was probably horny and wanted some lovins but needs to understand you’re rest is your well-being. I myself at 34 understand this thought process , if he was aware of your schedule and still got mad I would try to explain yourself for the next time the situation arises, if it happens again I would be concerned about his overall thought process. In my opinion, someone who truly cares about you would be understanding.
