Used prop money 20s once… and it actually worked lol

yo so i’m making this off a burner reddit acc cause i’m paranoid as hell rn lmao. i’m 16 and this happened like a few months ago when i was bored asf and scrolling through tiktok. this is just a story nothin serious dont go copyin me or whatever.

so it started from this vid thats now deleted that i saw on tiktok, some dude posted about this telegram server that sold prop money, but not that OBVIOUS fake stuff that says “motion picture use only” on it. these ones were $20, $50, and 100$ bills and only had the word “COPY” on it. the vid got taken down like the next day so i knew it was prob sketchy but i was curious. i joined the telegram cause i was lowkey down on 🌳 (ifykyk) and dude was sellin $1000 in prop cash for different bill types. there where many options but i wanted it all in 20s. i figured 20s were less sus than like 50s or 100s so i copped it. when it came in the mail, it actually looked real. like not perfect but scary close. only thing was it felt off and the COPY stamp stood out bad.
so i got a little creative.

i used some acetone and a q-tip and carefully rubbed the COPY part off. it actually worked after a few tries. just had to not scrub too hard or it’d mess the ink. then i soaked the bills in some strong coffee and used a blow dryer while kinda scrunchin them up to give them that crinkly look real cash has. they looked way less sus after that. i even took a nail buffer and kinda sanded down the edges a bit. made the bills feel less smooth n more used. then i found out that if u spray like the lightest coat of hairspray on the front and let it dry, the fake marker pen they use at stores won’t really work right. it just doesn’t show up or fades super fast. only problem was when u hold the bill up to a light, it’s obvious it’s fake. no stripe or watermark or any of that. so i only used em at gas stations, little corner stores, Some Less known plugs, or food trucks—places where no one got time to check that deep. I’d buy like $5-10 of stuff and pay with a fake $20, act chill, and get real change back. One time the dude barely looked and handed me back like $15 real cash. i never hit the same place twice with fake money and only used like 1 or 2 bills a day just to be safe. in the end i made around $300 in real money from changin them out. then i got paranoid and stopped. i still got a shoebox with a bunch of the bills somewhere lol. Ima call it wraps here and yeah lmfao just a random confession Lmfao. DMS open for anything.
