Uterine ablation

r/

Has anyone had experience with a uterine ablation after an endometriosis diagnosis? My obgyn said it will be an in-office procedure. Is this safe? How painful? How effective?

I essentially have two periods a month and they’ve become increasingly more painful and heavier as time has gone on.

According to Dr Google…The procedure is usually performed under general or local anesthesia. Are they putting you to sleep?

It’s the best decision I ever made. Wish I would’ve done it years earlier!

Mine was done under anesthesia in a hospital but recovery was very easy. Was up and around the next day with no pain.

That was almost three years ago and I haven’t had a period at all since, which is glorious! I suffered from very heavy, very painful periods for decades. I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had to. I think you will be very happy with the results.
