Videos of cute animals that look like they’re going to show something cute but immediately go into “you actually want to see?” are incredibly fucking annoying.

Example:

Video of a cat starts with “hey wanna see my cute costume?” I’m sitting here like “aight I’m down for cute cats in silly outfits”

It then goes to sadder music and “wait you want to see?”

That shit feels EXTREMELY guilt trippy in a way I can’t describe and it bugs the FUCK out of me.

I know it’s probably because people have lower than average attention spans and it’s a way to keep them longer on whatever video it is, but the guilt tripping just makes me leave faster out of spite. I primarily see this shit on Instagram with both reels and slideshows. It’s annoying, just show the cute animal with the goofy outfit or whatever from the start.
