So I am 21 and I use my mom’s health insurance. I was in a program bc i was told it was state funded. Apparently a few months ago it lost funding. I got a bill from them. Now everyone there knew that if I found out I would have to pay that I would immediately leave. I beleive this is why I was not notified and my parents were.
On a side not it is not f******* wprth the cost at all it was NOT necessary treatment I was ONlY using it bc it was FREE.
I want to take this to court that my parents were contacted and not me. I am not trying to have my parents pay this bill.

If you’re on your moms insurance, she’s the primary holder. They notified her….
It’s your parents health plan, not yours. Which is why they were notified, not you. Just like they would have been the ones receiving all the Explanation of Benefits for payments rendered by the insurance. Additionally, the program facilitators are not required to tell you of the loss of funding, or what insurance is or is not accepted anymore because they arnt even supposed to know how people are paying for services.
Your mom is the primary account holder.
