Around 14 years old I started on little substances, At 16 years old I became an intravenous opiate user that spent a majority of late teenage years in rehab or JJC. At 18 I started traveling from friends buying me tickets to their state, taking greyhounds all over, and losing almost everything that I had and loved. July of 2018 I had an intention O.D that put me on life support and nearly changed my perspective of life when I came back out of it while having one more OD in August. Did a long treatment program and progressed over years with schooling, self-care, working my own program, and regaining health and doing therapy. I hit 7 years sober August 24th, I get married in November, and mid September I close with my wife on our first house, all while having a son of my own, and two amazing bonus kids. My life took a complete 180 and I am forever grateful of what I achieved and the future to come.
Went from being a homeless addict, to obtaining 7 years of sobriety, a career that I love, and having my own family and major stability. AMA.
