I got a 3D printer and have enjoyed modeling things in CAD that I can print. I try to stick to functional prints, things that add some value, fill a need, or solve a problem. But sometimes it’s fun to just look at what others have designed and print a trinket/gadget.
My hobbies include kayaking, biking (bicycle, but motorsports are also fun), magic: the gathering, going for walks and hikes in the mountains, lake trips, camping, working on my house and yard, video games, and graphic design.
Hunting, fishing, boxing… none of which are cheap if you really get into it (some cheap options but the amount of potential gear, land, gyms you can end up paying for is kinda outlandish)
Mine are fishing, hunting, diving, carpentry (also side hustle), restoring old hand tools (also side hustle), BBQ, a little gardening and tinkering with cars.
Riding dirt bikes on trails. Disc golf. Hiking. Just because you’re employed, it doesn’t mean you can’t do some of the cheap hobbies (hiking/disc golf)
I thought golf was dumb and for rich finance pukes, but then some buddies invited me out and it was super fun. I bought a couple of second-hand clubs and play cheap courses.
I’m moving soon and I hope I can make some new golf buddies in my new city.
