Good memories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Stuff that make you smile randomly when you think about it and wish you could relive that moment again as it was. Doesn’t have to be romantic!
What are some memories that give you butterflies?

My first time meeting my fiancé
Several other memories with my fiancé
My solo trip I did for my 30th birthday
An amazing weekend I had with some friends after a bad breakup, and it being the first time I felt like I was healing
Animal encounters I’ve done at zoos and aquariums
I took my two teenagers to their first concert back in 2018, and it was such an all around fun experience. We laughed, sang and danced all night. I’ve made my share of parenting mistakes, but we were in the zone that night.
We had my nephews for three years when they were preteens/teens bc their parents were addicts and homeless. They had never had a proper Christmas. The first year they were with us I tossed the oldest one (12) a Christmas catalog and told him to look through it and make his list. “Huh?” So I said it again. He had NO idea what he was supposed to do. He had NEVER seen a Christmas toy catalog and never made a list before. It was so overwhelming to him he started bawling. “But what if I put too many things or don’t get what I want?!” I literally had to sit on the ground and help him understand that nobody gets everything they want, just put stuff on there and you get a random assortment! Highlight the most desirable stuff maybe. He put an expensive mountain bike on there and we did have to tell him we couldn’t afford it but we would try to make Christmas fun anyway (and we were being honest). We ended up being able to scrape the money together, though, and we wrapped a gift that had a piece of paper inside that told him to look on the back patio. He ran out to find the bike and screamed so loud our neighbor called the cops bc he thought there was a domestic dispute. I have a video of the entire thing. I think I’ve watched it 500 times at this point. They deserved so much more than they were given as kids. He’s in his 20s now and about to have his first kid.
honestly, my first kiss still gives me a lot of butterflies
My dad getting me out of bed on hols in the Lake District to show me the Milky Way when I was about 7 years old. We lived in London so the stars were so ridiculously amazing in the dark skies of the caravan park!
He started a love of the night sky that night, he loved the sky too and taught me so much about the constellations, which lead to an obsession over the night sky and Greek myths.
I miss him so much. I’m planning to go and see the solar eclipse next year in Iceland and it’s going to be a bittersweet moment knowing he didn’t get to see one in the short 41 years he was on the earth.
