    Saving money

Speaking to people in casual settings

    Saying no

All three of these things are essential for long term goals and success. Saving money is the best thing you can do because money you dont spend is money you earn. Take it a step further and learn to invest and every dollar you earn multiplies itself. Talking to people casually is where you build relationships. Professional/business speaking doesnt mean shit if you cant develop relationships. And saying no will make you a better person all around. Want to eat an extra cookie? tell yourself no. Friend want to go on an expensive trip to the beach every weekend? say no. Dont want to do something? say no and you’ll be happier than if you suffer through it.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

    Empathy, cooking and cleaning.

No one likes a spoiled entitled dude who can’t even clean up after himself let alone cook an egg or be considerate to others.

I recently had a 19 year old guy stay with me temporarily as a roommate as a favour to a family member. Absolute fucking mess: no hygiene, no concept of living with someone that wasn’t going to clean up after him, and he burnt every. Fucking. Thing. Worst of all, he’d leave the floor mat wet and not hang it after showering, ikr, fucking monster.
