What did your childless friends do for you in your newborn mom phase that was most helpful?

    She would come over and let me nap! She also occasionally made dinner. She would just hang out and watch tv with me while I cared for the baby. Take turns feeding him bottles. A true godsend.

    Nothing because once you have a baby, your childless friends disappear

    Bring food, walk the dog, ask if i needed anything specific from the store, take out the diaper trash, fold a load of laundry. It was most helpful when the person volunteered what they were able/willing to do (e.g “can I come over and watch the baby while you nap?”) rather than saying “let me know if you need anything.”
